Strasbourg like you’ve never seen it before

The experience

Explore Strasbourg by Nootoos invites you to dive into the heart of Strasbourg’s history through a unique immersive experience.

Set within the Protestant church of Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux, this sound and light show takes you from the city’s origins to the present day through a 25-minute animated film, where images and projections blend seamlessly with the architecture.

Comfortably seated in deckchairs and equipped with a multilingual audio headset, enjoy a suspended moment, open to all, to marvel, learn and rediscover the European soul of the city.

A project led by Nootoos, Les Guides d’Alsace, Animaillons, and Kawati Studios.

Dive into the world of the film by discovering the teaser and going behind the scenes of its creation.

The venue

Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux is one of Strasbourg’s oldest and most iconic buildings. A living witness to sixteen centuries of history, it has endured through the ages, from its origins in the 4th century to the many medieval and modern transformations. Its unique architecture, blending Gothic and Neo-Gothic elements, along with its stained glass, murals, and sculpted details, tells the story of the city’s religious, artistic, and cultural heritage.

Today, Nootoos calls this building home—a welcoming, participatory space that transforms this historic church into a vibrant environment open to everyone. Nootoos enables anyone to propose and share artistic, cultural, social, or spiritual projects, turning the church into a true space of co-creation and collaboration. It is within this unique setting that Nootoos brought Explore Strasbourg to life.
